Event Details
Date: Saturday July 4th 2026
Start time: 11:30 East End of Atwood Lake near Dellroy
Route: Boats will head west toward the dam
Theme: Red, White & Blue /USA 250
Decorate your boat in patrotic colors and themes
Who Can Participate
Everyone!
All safe and properly equipped boats
- Pontoons
- Sailboats- join by the East Marina
- Runabouts
- Other lake-appropriate vessels
All participants must follow Ohio boating laws, Atwood Lake rules, and any instructions from MWCD, ODNR, Rangers, or safety personne
Safety Comes First
This is a voluntary community event. Every boat captain is responsible for their vessel, passengers, safety equipment, and operation.
Participants should:
- Carry properly fitted life jackets for all passengers
- Follow all Ohio boating laws
- Follow all Atwood Lake and MWCD rules
- Maintain safe spacing between boats
- Avoid reckless operation
- Follow no-wake zones
- Avoid throwing candy, beads, or items from boats
- Follow instructions from MWCD, ODNR, Rangers, or event safety volunteers
Personal watercraft operators and passengers must follow Ohio PFD requirements. Ohio boating rules also include operating laws and safety equipment requirements for vessels.

Atwood Lake Region is located in Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties. An easy drive from Canton, Akron, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Columbus.
