Community Information: Windward Shores at Atwood Lake

Atwood Lake Community Development Corp. is sharing information we found from MWCD about Windward Shores, the newest cottage site development planned for Atwood Lake.

Located off Lodge Road SW / State Route 542 in Sherrodsville, Windward Shores will include 18 spacious lakeside lots, ranging from about ¼ acre to more than 1 acre.

According to MWCD, residents will have access to:

🌅 Scenic lake views
🚤 Dock access and docking privileges
🏖️ Beach access
🚶 Walking paths and golf cart trails
🛣️ Paved roads and utility access
🌿 A peaceful setting near Atwood Lake Park and recreation amenities

Windward Shores is part of MWCD’s Cottage Site Leasing Program, which means homeowners own the home built on the property while leasing the land from MWCD.

🚤 Docking Information
MWCD states that cluster docks are planned for installation in 2027 for Windward Shores lessees. The docks will initially be owned and maintained by MWCD and later transferred to a lessee docking association.
