RFPs (Request for proposals) have been sent out to engineering firms to proposal designs for the development of the Atwood Pines, Peninsula and Area Four at Tappan
Tree Removal Assistance Pilot Program (TRAP) for up to 25% reimbursement up to $500 for eligible projects.
Atwood Activity Center Renovation continues to be installed. Interior drywall is installed. The demolition work in the kitchen and store are is mostly complete. Competition is scheduled for July 2024
Atwood Mail Launch Ramp Pavement Improvement is complete
Atwood Lake- Arcadia Drive: Tree removal happened in December with the MWCD Heavy Equipment Crew beginning construction

**Call to Order:**
- The meeting was called to order at 10:45 by Lori Swetlin.
**Agenda Items:**
1. Lori had a discussion with John Richards President of Stark Education Partnership regarding ACDC sponsorship for young entrepreneurs:
- Explored the idea of sponsoring young entrepreneurs to aid in community development.
- Emphasized the importance of engaging youth to address blue zones and meet needs of younger demographics.
- Explored concepts like affordable housing, sustainable development, and fostering small business.
2. Potential initiatives:
- Considered building a small development with sustainable materials, which could be filmed and documented.
- Promote and encourage the younger generation to promote innovation.
3. Land availability and development opportunities:
- Noted additional possible available land, including the new building off SR 542 to include in our plans
- Fitness facility and cabins construction plan
4. Community engagement and partnerships:
- Discussed involvement with Carroll County Art Center and linking to their website.
- DAC - request to hear ideas from ACDC as a model for other lake community development.
5. Organizational matters:
- Provided updates on the 501c3 status, with Marilyn attempting to expedite the IRS determination process.
- Sam agreed to set up social media platforms for the group.
- Considered speaking with representatives to expedite IRS processes.
6. Priority projects:
- Highlighted the importance of transitioning a childcare center into a fitness facility.
- Explored fundraising ideas, such as selling stones for the fitness facility and securing grants for various projects.
7. Future events and initiatives:
- Discussed the Harvest Moon Art Show featuring live music and fundraising opportunities.
